The Walk raises funds for research to find a CURE for Type 1 Diabetes. This affects more than 130000 Australians, many on the Central Coast. Unfortunately a cure hasn't been found yet but research has made life easier to live with Type 1 Diabetes and has also helped to delay the onset.
Since 2014, Socares, a Not-for-Profit Charity, has proudly cared for the lost and stray animals of the Central Coast. Today, we provide love and shelter to more than 300 animals as they wait for their forever families.
